Jamuary 2024 Day Four

It’s the fourth day of Jamuary, and there’s another live stream event!

More fun with the new Native Instruments Kontrol S49 MkIII and Komplete, along with Ableton Live and my Sequential Take 5 and Arturia PolyBrute — in no particular order.

Tonight, we answer the question of just how many stereo LFOs can reside in a single Vital patch!

Most of this is me improvising over a bed of drones and step sequences. Live playing on the Take 5 and PolyBrute …. Man, I love playing those things, especially with the new keyboard. I also play a little bit of MiniFreak V and add a different sequence for it on the fly. And, there’s the usual bit of chatter. But mostly, music this time. See if you can spot the lifts from Styx and Renaissance without using the time codes!

jamuary is an idea by @truecuckoo that was picked up by many Musicians/Jammers because it’s just cool — like cuckoo. Every day in January we publish a jam. It can be quite short, it doesn’t have to be anything special. We just put our thoughts aside and start playing. We then upload this jam to our YouTube channels and tag it with the hashtag #jamuary2024.
