I’ll be taking part in Drone Day again this year, though likely not on the epic scale of last year’s performance. This year, I’m planning on around 30 minutes, featuring the ASM Hydrasynth. The incredible texturing and modulation capabilities of the Hydrasynth make it a natural for drone creation and performance. “Tune in” on Saturday, May 30, from about 9:30 AM EDT on. The link to the live stream is here:
All sounds came from a single, original, and highly complex preset on the Hydrasynth, with some Valhalla Supermassive for good measure. Controlled through Bitwig using the Native Instruments Kontrol S49 mkIII. Visuals created using an Entropy & Sons Recursion Studio, mixed with camera sources both internally in the Recursion Studio, and also using a Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme.
