It’s coming into fall here in central Maryland, and over the past couple of days, I’ve compiled this little gallery of dead flowers. I started with a bouquet that my wife had set out on the front porch, and for all the shots I used the crappy camera in the iPhone 13 Mini. I figured that since I was hamstrung by the camera, I’d might as well do the whole thing on the phone and just roll with the aesthetic. I’m actually pretty happy with the results, and on a couple, I couldn’t decide if I liked the color or monochromes better, so I included both. I suppose this just shows that the best camera is always the one you have with you, no matter what that camera happens to be.

For what it’s worth, I’m not a fan of the song by the Rolling Stones. But then, I’m not really a fan of any of the Stones’ “country” flavored songs.
