  • Sony’s E 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 OSS At Gettysburg — Test And Review Images

I spent a hot, hazy, and humid afternoon in Gettysburg putting Sony’s E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS zoom through some of it’s paces. Some of the video will appear on the next episode of What’s In My Head. The lens used for the test was rented from Lensrentals.com for the purpose of the test. The combination of this lens and the APS-C a6100 provides an equivalent of a full-frame 27-202.5mm lens, which is about the same range that I had on the Konica-Minolta DiMage A2, but with much better image and video quality. This range is nearly perfect

  • Around The Yard – Sony Alpha A6100 Review

In this post, I’m going to talk about the Alpha a6100, one of Sony’s latest compact APS-C interchangeable lens mirrorless cameras, and the “kit” 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 power zoom lens. As is usual with my camera commentaries, I’m not going to dwell on technical specs. There are plenty of other websites out there for that. Instead, I’ll concentrate on my impressions of the camera (and lens) as it applies to my intended usage. In this case, I’m looking for something small and lightweight that’s not terribly expensive that I can carry with me all the time for vlogging and daily photography.

  • Sykesville Saturday – Fujfilm X-T200 Review

I spent a really nice afternoon yesterday visiting Sykesville, catching up with my good friend Erik and his daughter, Lauren. She’s interested in learning about photography, I haven’t seen Erik in an age, and I had a camera to test. What’s more, the weather was fantastic. As is usual with my camera commentaries, I’m not going to dwell on technical specs. There are plenty of other websites out there for that. Instead, I’ll concentrate on my impressions of the camera (and lens) as it applies to my intended usage. In this case, I’m looking for something small

  • Episode 01-03 – Fujifilm X-T200 Review – Is It Any Good For VLOGGING?

WHAT’S IN MY HEAD?Episode 01-03 I know that I promised to explain my recent comments that I’m “doing photography wrong”. That’s turned out to be a much bigger can of worms than I thought it was going to be. So instead, in this installment, I’ll provide my opinions on one of Fujifilm’s newest cameras and lenses, and whether or not it’s a good choice for vlogging. Stick with me, though. You’ll soon see how this relates to what I was supposed to be talking about. I promise. Really. https://youtu.be/kfwTxPg8nJo
